How do you ship the meat?
We ship the meat frozen in styrofoam insulated boxes that keep the meat cold up to 72 hours while in transit. The meat will be delivered to your door via FedEx. We always ship on a Monday to insure your meat doesn't sit over the weekend.
Where do you ship?
We ship anywhere in the continental United States.
How does the payment process work?
When you order your meat, you will either pay the total cost up front or pay a nonrefundable deposit. When the meat is shipped, you will be invoiced the remainder based on actual pounds shipped (if not paid in full up front) as well as shipping costs.
Are your animals given hormones or antibiotics?
Our pork is fed antibiotic and hormone free, vegetarian feed from a local source. Our beef is not given any hormone implants and will not receive antibiotics. If our pigs or cows get sick, we will give them antibiotics but sell them through another avenue.
Why is there delayed shipment on my pork?
We raise the pigs in small batches and we want to insure you get exactly the cuts you want. Therefore, we have customers preorder their pork so we know how to get them processed ahead of time.
How long do I have to wait after I preorder to receive my meat?
All of our meat will ship in 1-2 weeks.
How much freezer space will I need
For orders of 1/8th beef or less, or 1/2 pork or less, you should be able to use the space you have in your regular freezer, provided it is not full of other items. For orders greater than that, you will need an extra freezer. Plan on approximately one cubic foot of freezer space for every 15-20 pounds of meat.
Why is my beef labeled Mission Ranch Beef?
We source all of our beef from the historic Mission Ranch- the ranch we live on and manage.
How much will I pay in shipping?
If you live in Bozeman, Billings, or Livingston, Montana, we will deliver for free. Shipping ranges from $40- $120 (approximately) depending on what region you live in. The farther east you are, the more shipping will cost.
